Yes they have a built in camera. Whether they’re good or not depends on what you are using it for. For example for gaming you would need to use boot camp and install windows in order to game (so macs lack in that there are few [good] games made for its OS). The best type of laptops/notebooks are probably not macbooks, go for alienware if you have the money for it.

SeeThru hard shells for MacBook and MacBook Pro are made of sturdy, polycarbonate plastic and come in a Speck-trum of colors, red, blue, orange, pink, green, black and clear (color options vary depending upon model). With the easy snap-on design, users can shield their notebook from scratches and bumps while enjoying access to all features including keyboard, drives and ports. Shells come complete with rubber feet to help prevent movement on slippery surfaces. The durable shell is the perfect add-on when transporting your notebook alone, in a sleeve, briefcase or luggage. The MacBook 17-inch also includes a cutout for the battery test button on the base.

MacBook Pro 17-inch and 15-inch notebook shells, compatible with both the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo versions, are currently shipping to consumers and retail partners with an MSRP of .95. MacBook 13-inch notebook shells are also available for .95.

Great choice! Hope you are getting the black one. Thats the most powerful one. I am planning to get that one. I really like Macs and my dream is to get the Apple iMac. WooHoo! But it is a good choice to get the MacBook. Treasure it forever!
